Health Fusion beverages are formulated specifically for schools based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Classified as Nutrient-Dense, they contain significant amounts of USDA “Nutrients of Concern” (Calcium, Potassium, Fiber, Vitamin E), with the same or fewer calories than skim milk.

Look for this symbol as your assurance of Nutrient-Density. If this symbol is present, the following criteria are met:

Calorie Criteria
Maximum of 80 calories per 8oz serving

Nutrient Criteria
Must meet at least three of the following:

• Minimum of 250 mg of calcium (25% RDI) per 8oz serving
• Minimum of 350 mg of potassium (10% RDI) per 8oz serving
• Minimum of 1g of fiber per 8oz serving
• Minimum of 2.25 IU of vitamin E (10% RDI) per 8oz serving
• Minimum of 40 mg of magnesium (10% RDI) per 8oz serving
• Minimum of 20 IU of vitamin D (10% RDI) per 8oz serving
• Minimum of 500 IU of vitamin A (10% RDI) per 8oz serving

All Riptide products contain EpiCAL™, a proprietary brand of Organic Calcium proven in studies to be absorbed as well as the calcium in milk.
Riptide brands also contain BODY BALANCE™, a proprietary brand of natural soluble fiber that helps moderate blood glucose, insulin and trygliceride levels.

More Like Milk!

Why “More Like Milk!”? Skim milk is the Nutrient-Density benchmark for beverages and we support the consumption of milk, but some individuals can’t drink milk (lactose intolerance) and some won’t drink milk (don’t like the taste), so there’s a need for other beverages. In order to maximize the nutritional benefit when other beverages are offered, we maintain that they should be “More Like Milk!”. Riptide brands are similar to skim milk in Nutrient-Density and contain many of the same key nutrients with the same or fewer calories than skim milk, so they’re “More Like Milk!” than traditional sodas, sports drinks, flavored waters, and even fruit juices.
